A web-ring is a group of web pages that have a common theme, and provides an easy way of going from one to another if you are interested in a particular topic. There is a box somewhere on the page that will link you to other pages in the ring in various ways. Our pages have various different themes, and so they are linked to different webrings. We've collected all the web ring links on this page.

Unfortunately, since the Webring system has been taken over by Yahoo! it has become a lot harder to operate, and some of these webrings have closed, because it has been too difficult to get them to work properly.

The Inklings

The Inklings were a group of British authors who used to meet in Oxford to read their work to each other and discuss it. The best-known of them were C.S. Lewis, J.R.R. Tolkien and Charles Williams. The Consistent Life Ethic Webring

Are there inconsistent life ethics? It seems so. Most people would say that killing people is wrong, but they usually have reservations and qualifications. It's wrong to kill people, except for the people they want to kill. Three of the areas where most inconsistencies are seen are war, abortion and capital punishment. A lot of people oppose one or two of these, and regard themselves as "pro-life", but it is rare to find someone who opposes all three. So the sites with a consistent life ethic are those that propose that war, abortion and capital punishment are all wrong. Our peacemakers page is linked to this web ring.
